Smart Grouping

How The Mom Hub folds repetitive social activity into clean, consolidated notifications.

How it works

When multiple moms like, comment on, or repost the same post — or follow you around the same time — their activity folds into a single notification: "Sarah and 12 others liked your post."Once you read it, the next activity starts a fresh group. Direct messages, mentions, moderation actions, and follow requests are always delivered individually.

Tap any card below to toggle its read/unread state and see the terracotta dot appear/disappear.

Likes — single & grouped

Multiple likes on the same post fold into one notification. The latest actor's name leads, with a count of the others.

Comments — single & grouped

Multiple comments on the same post fold into one notification, just like likes.

Reposts — single & grouped

Multiple reposts of the same post fold into one notification.

Follows — single & grouped

Single follows show the follower's profile card. Grouped follows (2+) switch to a compact generic card with a grouped title.

Never grouped — always individual

Direct messages, mentions, moderation actions, support responses, and follow requests are always delivered as individual notifications.

Read vs unread states

Unread cards show a small terracotta dot on the right. Read cards have no dot. Both use the same white card background.
